Arvind started his career as a graphic designer and transitioned into web design when the internet was still young. Endlessly curious about how things work, he has well-rounded knowledge of modern web technologies needed to create sites that are beautiful, effective and achieves customer goals, making him an excellent trainer in all things web. As an expert WordPress and Drupal developer, Arvind always aspires to best practice, and is passionate about the performance and security of websites. If you get to train with Arvind, you’ll be accessing 30 years of design and marketing experience coupled with about 20 years of web building. After hours, Arvind relaxes with art, books, some physical activity (not too much) and experimenting with tech.
Bec joined our team in 2015 and today divides her time across both The Training Collective as a Training Coordinator and Trainer, & it’s sister company The Creative Collective tasked with company administration such as accounts queries, & debt collection. As the first point of contact for The Training Collective, Bec helps clients to identify their training requirements, and to arrange the perfect trainer, location & agenda. This high paced role sees her regularly liaising with trainers in locations across Australia and New Zealand, and coordinating all aspects of the scheduled training (venue, catering, travel, tech equipment etc). Her main goal is to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction at all times. In her down time Bec loves spending time at the beach with her 3 children, drinking tea and attending music events.
Yvette Adams is a serial entrepreneur and a multi-award winning business woman including winning the ICT Woman of the Year at the iAwards in 2013 and the Commonwealth Bank Business Owner category at the Telstra Business Womens in Queensland in 2010.
She has started six businesses, the first a newspaper when she was just 17, and two of which she has since sold. She currently runs three businesses – The Creative Collective – a crowdfunding & digital marketing agency; The Training Collective – a digital skills training organisation, and awardshub.com – an online portal which helps people find business awards to enter.
In 2015 she was recognised for making a significant contribution to science and innovation in Queensland and included on the department’s Queensland Science and Innovation Champion Hall of Fame and in 2016 she was named as a Digital Champion by Queensland Government.
Yvette is a twice published author, and is regularly called on as a media commentator and keynote speaker, facilitator and MC for events all over Asia Pacific. Her most recent book was published in 2014 and is titled ‘No Kidding – Why Our Kids Know More About Us Than Technology and What We Need To Do About It’.
